If you worked for a company for 8 years, and all you had to show for it was complete failure every year, you would have been fired 5 or 6 years ago. Not only did Matt Millen, President and GM of The Detroit Lions, keep his job, he made millions. Compare it to the CEO of a major financial corporation running his company into the ground with bad investments and loans that would never be paid back. He walks away with millions for being a total sleaze bag. Firing Millen won’t make the Lions winners however. That will only happen when the owner, William Clay Ford (of Ford Motor Company that’s losing billions every year) sells the team to someone who knows how to run a company. The best man for the job? Bill Davidson. He owns Guardian Glass and he also owns The Detroit Pistons and The Detroit Shock (chick basketball). He also owned the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League. One year, I think it was 2004, the Pistons, the Shock, and the Lightning all won their respective championships. What an unbelievable year for Bill Davidson. The thing about him, he’s hands off, but he knows how to run an organization and knows the right people to hire. Ford will probably never sell, and Detroit will never have a good football team.
I was diagnosed with MS about 6 years ago and I am one of the lucky ones. I don't have too many problems associated with it, and the disease has actually slowed down. I took up running 4 years ago just to see if I could do it. So far I've run 5 marathons in 3 years and 12 half marathons.
