The Charlotte Thunder Road Marathon is next weekend finally. It seems like Jason, Michael, and I have been talking about this forever. Now that it’s here, I’m not ready! Well, I’m sorta ready. I kind of slacked this week because Jason and Michael flew into town to pick up my car, so I missed out on 2 days of running. Not their fault of course, I just got lazy. I ran an easy 12 miles today, and I’ll run a couple more times before I fly to North Carolina. It should be interesting to run at sea level for once. I’m hoping that training at altitude will really help me to have a good race time. I’m shooting for 1 hour and 49 minutes for my leg of the relay (13.1 miles).
I was diagnosed with MS about 4 years ago and I am one of the lucky ones. I don't have too many problems associated with it, and the disease has actually slowed down. I took up running 3 years ago just to see if I could do it. So far I've run 3 marathons in a year and a half.

Wow, 1:49 is my goal too (for 10 miles). You’ll probably get 1:30 because of the altitude.
Nice pic by the way.

Depends on the weather there. Last I looked, “they” say it should be a nice day for running!

Wow, good luck on the upcoming marathon. Since you are used to running at a much higher altitude, it should help you a great deal. Hope you have a good race!
