Just Thinking Out Loud

You can’t beat the weather here in Colorado.  Sunny most of the time and this Sunday will be 75 degrees.  But then a week later, we could have a foot of snow.  All the ski resorts are open now so you could actually go skiing in the morning, and then play golf in the afternoon.

You can’t beat the number of breweries here in Colorado.  I think there’s like a million of them.  Diane and I are officially beer snobs now.  Coors Light?  Blah!  Bud?  Yuck!  Give me some Hop Devil anytime.

You can’t beat the mice here in Colorado.  No really, you can’t beat ‘em or do anything to them.  There is one species that is actually on the endangered list.  But if your homeless, get your ass out of here.

You can’t beat the time difference here in Colorado.  Monday Night Football is on at 6:30 and I can stay up and watch the whole thing!  Okay, maybe at least until the third quarter.

You can’t beat the whole view of the Rocky Mountains.  Some days it just doesn’t seem real.  It seems more like a “sofa painting“.  You know what I mean.  A big ole painting that goes perfect above the sofa.

Just thinking out loud.

About Dave

I was diagnosed with MS about 8 years ago and I am one of the lucky ones. I don't have too many problems associated with it, and the disease has actually slowed down. I took up running 6 years ago just to see if I could do it. So far I've run 7 marathons in 5 years and 18 half marathons.

Hahaha, like your taste in beer. I tend towards the microbrews & the beers that make people say, “What? I never even HEARD of that brand before!” ;-)

You are so very lucky to be living & running Colorado! I visited Colorado Springs earlier this year & when we approached the parking lot for the Pike’s Peak Cog Railway, we saw hikers, bikers, & runners in & around the lot who were getting ready to do their thing. I was so-oooo envious, as we only had a 3 short days there & barely had enough time to acclimate to the increased elevation/altitude, let alone run or bike there. We did squeak in some minor hiking around Seven Falls though. A small consolation.

We’d like to go back & see more of Colorado. You are just so-oooo lucky to live there. Can’t wait to go back!
